\'1 Pro-ET drag racing introduction
What better way to remind the world of our existence than to have our own rolling advertisement. Drag Racing for those that know little about it is without question one of the highest adrenaline charged forms of motorsport, and relatively safe too. Arguably the old adage,'there is no substitute for cubic inches' would we would hope produce a reliable outcome in the quarter mile. Its how our Managing Director got started in the motorsport industry all those years ago in 1985 when 'SVS' was first born. So it seemed like a logical place to return when the opportunity arose. Our car 'Bubba' is a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro with a normally aspirated 555 cubic inch big block engine making around 800hp. Its all steel apart from the bonnet, and aside from lots of chassis adjustments and obviously a high performance drivetrain, many of the cars' original features remain. 'Real Race Cars have doors' we agree wholeheartedly ! Watch this space as we learn how to drive it, hopefully competitively. In one of the largest fields of competitive racing, we are in 'Pro-ET' running under race number 610, previously the car's number in USA where the car was actively run over a number of years in the North West area (Idaho) by Ken Windley, who has helped us hugely every step of the way. Look him up on youtube and see for yourselves
